Factors to be controlled in the pickling process of stainless steel heat exchange tubes! !
By: mxgy,
Zhejiang Max Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. is a modern stainless steel pipe manufacturing enterprise integrating scientific research, production and sales. The company adopts advanced, efficient and mature production management mode. The company chooses Walsin Lihwa and Yongxing Special Steel parent materials as the leading material for the production of high-quality stainless steel, providing the most reliable and safest stainless steel pipes and fittings for global users. CNMAX has a number of cold drawing production lines, as well as a number of cold rolling units, CNC lathes and processing centers, mainly producing seamless pipes, bright and annealed pipes, heat exchange pipes, pipe fittings, flanges and other products.
Today, stainless steel heat exchange tubes will gradually produce dirt in the tubes under long-term use and storage. This is a normal phenomenon, but these scales will affect the normal use of stainless steel heat exchange tubes. Dirt, the method is to take pickling.
In the process of pickling, these factors should also be well controlled. Let’s talk about which factors need to be controlled:
1) Temperature during pickling
High pickling temperature has a better effect on descaling, but it needs to be well controlled, because too high pickling temperature will aggravate the corrosion of heat exchange tubes by the pickling solution. It is better to control the pickling temperature at about 60°C.
2) Concentration of pickling solution
The pickling solution used in pickling can be prepared according to the concentration of 81.0% formic acid, 17.0% water, 1.2% buffer, and 0.8% surfactant, so that the pickling effect is better.
3) Pickling method
The pickling method should be based on a combination of static immersion and dynamic circulation.
4) Pickling time
When pickling, it should be soaked statically for 2 hours first, and then dynamically circulated for 3~4 hours. During the process, it is necessary to take samples frequently to test the pickling concentration. When the difference between the two adjacent test concentrations is less than 0.2%, it means that the pickling reaction is over.
5) Passivation treatment
After the pickling is completed, most of the scale and metal oxides on the surface of the stainless steel heat exchange tube are dissolved and peeled off, exposing brand new metal, which is extremely vulnerable to corrosion. Therefore, the stainless steel heat exchange tube should also be passivated at this time.
These are the factors that need to be controlled in the pickling process of stainless steel heat exchange tubes.
CNMAX has always taken “quality assurance, professional service, and customer satisfaction” as its corporate purpose, and its pioneering, pragmatic, and innovative entrepreneurial spirit will continue to contribute high-quality stainless steel products to the society, complement each other’s advantages, and work together to create a better world.
